Wellness and Vaccination ProgramsOur wellness and vaccination programs are designed to prevent disease and prolong the lives of your companion animals. Disease prevention is always less costly than dealing with the treatment of a disease once your pet has developed it. An example would be the treatment of parvovirus. Parvovirus treatment can frequently cost $1,000 or more while a single parvovirus vaccination will usually cost less than $100. Our practice has regularly reevaluated our vaccination policy and have implemented a three-year vaccination protocol for our dogs, and will alter our yearly vaccination program for single, indoor cats after the age of 5-8 years, provided they have been Leukemia tested since being indoors only. Please ask us for more information when you can!
Early diagnosis of a disease process can lead your pet to a longer healthier life. Kidney disease, if diagnosed early, will allow us to modify your dog or cat's diet and in some cases add supplements to their diet to potentially extend their lives. There are many other conditions to which an early diagnosis is advantageous. To this end we offer two Senior Care Programs in addition to Pre Surgical Blood evaluations, Urinalysis, and Cardiology consulations to allow us to identify most underlying pre-operative concerns.
